Julian, the little boy with the big brown eyes. He was born on the 5th of October 1996 and at the age of nearly two he begins to suffer from a terrible illness that has no name. This illness causes the little boy and his beloved ones a lot of pain but at the same time it creates a deep and true love that will always remain in the hearts of many people. His parents are convinced that every human being has not only the right to be loved but also the right to die if one’s worn out body can’t take any more. In November 2007 they refuse to prolong their son’s pain and decide to take care of him at his home during the last four months of his life-long suffering. They don’t regret the most painful decision of their life.

At the age of eleven Julian passes away in his father’s arms. On the 24th of March 2008 at 1:27 Julian stops breathing and all of a sudden there is only silence – an unbearable silence …

A moving story about the joys of motherhood, hope, love, despair, fear, devotion, death, mourning and the hard way back to life.
